ABOUT THE AUTHOR:

Rodney Smith Jr. is not just a storyteller; he is a living testament to the transformative power of kindness. Born from an authentic experience where he assisted an elderly gentleman struggling to mow his lawn, Rodney’s life took a compassionate turn. This spontaneous act of kindness grew into ‘Raising Men & Women Lawn Care Service’, a nonprofit organization. It has now motivated over 5,000 kids to offer their services of mowing lawns, raking leaves, and shoveling snow free to the elderly, disabled, single parents, and veterans in cities across the country.

Rodney holds a bachelor’s degree in computer science and a master’s in social work. While this might be his debut into the world of children’s literature, his life story is a testament to the impact of small actions and the ripple effect they can create in the community. In the words of Rodney, “Never doubt that you can make a difference in this world. YOU CAN!”
